Filter by licence regime
Regulation shapes what actually protects you when things go wrong. The strongest tier - MiFID II investment-firm licences - brings up to EUR 20,000 compensation on eligible claims (cash balances and certain instruments held by the investment firm), though no scheme covers borrower defaults. The second tier - ECSP crowdfunding licences - mandates disclosure and conduct rules but carries no compensation. Unregulated platforms operate outside EU financial-services law.
